Transitioning to the New Year

We now enter the approximately 10-day period starting during Slichot in which the KoT calendars for this year and next year overlap. We’ll be transitioning the automated calendars to show next year’s cycles, with tonight (Thursday night), being Day 1 of Week 1 of the “yearly” Omer count. That’s correct, in this coming year, the first day of the Omer is a Friday.

The rest of Week 51 and Week 52 of the calendar will be hidden, along with the rest of the  22-day Alef-Beit cycle and 13-day Attributes of Mercy cycle, as well as the 41-day cycle, which (unlike the other ones) culminates on Yom Kippur.
